Connor turns one year old today.
He told me that he didn’t want to wear a party hat for his birthday. He liked Abbey’s party hat a couple of weeks ago, but he wanted something different.
So we picked out some shades, and he was satisfied.
We adopted Connor from our county’s shelter on Feb. 10. The paperwork from the spay/neuter clinic noted his date of birth as May 4, 2015, exactly nine months before they neutered him. I think they were guessing at his exact age, but we decided to keep May 4 as his birthday.
So it’s Connor’s day. If his day is a normal day, he will run around the house; jump on tables, chairs, counters, dressers, desks, and shelves; wrestle with Abbey and chase or be chased by her or Natasha; chew on his favorite soft wand toy; lay in his current-favorite box; bat around mousies; look for birds, squirrels, and bugs through the windows; roll the ball through the track toy over and over; swat at the butterfly toy; purr when I pick him up; and supervise his papa’s litter box cleaning.
Connor is a busy boy. He’s also adorable and sweet and cuddly.
We love you Connor Romeo, forever and a day!
