Mancat Monday: Where have you been?

Happy Monday! Connor here for Mancat Monday.

I call this picture “Cold Shoulder.” It fits how I felt after this terrible weekend.

There’s a rule. Mama leaves the house in the morning for five days in a row and comes back at dinnertime. Always five days in a row. Then we have two whole days with her at home. Taking care of me. OK, taking care of all of us.

So I counted five days.

But on Caturday, Mama got up and acted like she was going to work. And she did! She said she had to go work at a special event.

When she finally got home, we had already had dinner! She all sweet and lovey, and said she missed her “babies.”  *Connor makes air quotes with his paws.*

But she did it again! She got up yesterday and did the same thing!

So I’m kind of giving her the cold shoulder. Don’t call me baby and then turn around and leave me!

She said she was sorry and in five more days she’s going to be on what’s called a vacation and will be home with us for nine days.

I’m really glad she’s back to normal now. And she did seem sad about leaving us. But I’m going to do the cold shoulder thing just a little longer.

  2. Oh Connor! Mama has to make green papers to be able to stock up on cat food, so you must give her a little slack once in awhile. No one is happy about it, I assure you.

  9. We hate when the humans deviate from the normal schedule. It really messes things up.

  10. We always get a little upset when our mom and dad break from the norm, too. We bet you'll like that vacation thing your mom is planning!

  13. Now Connor...I'm sure she didn't mean to be gone so long. Hope you've forgiven her.
