Friendly Fill-Ins Blog Hop: Abbey

Happy Friday! Abbey and Tina here. We’re participating in the Friendly Fill-Ins Blog Hop, presented by 15 and Meowing and McGuffy’s Reader. We decided to fill in the blanks together:

The best money I ever spent was ___________________________, and the worst was___________________________.

My most memorable vacation was with ______________________ at ______________________________________.

It ____________________ when ___________________.

Once, I _________________.

Abbey in April 2015

The best money I ever spent was for my education, and the worst was for a lemon car in the 1990s. (Abbey says the best money I ever spent was for a wand toy that became her comfort toy.)

My most memorable vacation was with my friends Debbie and Renate at a conference in New Orleans. (Abbey says no vacations please—just stay home.)

It was a sunny day in April 2015 when I brought Abbey home from the shelter. (Abbey says she wouldn’t know—she hid under the dresser in the kitty room for most of the day.)

Once, long ago, I didn’t think I liked cats. (And I agree with Abbey—I didn’t know what I was missing.)

Have a great weekend, humans and fur friends!

  1. The best money I ever spent was getting dental work done for friendly ferals Sweetie and Patty O'Malley, and the worst was for fancy wrapping for a bridal gift that a toddler tore apart.

My most memorable vacation was with The Hubby at Key West, Florida.

It never fails to make me smile when a kitty rolls in his back to give me a tummy to pet!

Once, I wanted to be a nun.

    Happy weekend, all!

  2. Didn't like cats? Wow, were you ever wrong. :-)

  3. my most memorial vacation was with the kids and the hubs, when they were much younger. i remember it like it was yesterday, we were in florida and it was such a fun, memorable trip!!!

i enjoyed your answers as well!!!

  4. Kittehs have converted many over the ages to their gloriousness.

  5. I like your answers. I once bought a lemon of a car too. One day when I was coming home from work, I was nearly back and I heard a clunk, then as I turned into our drive the front wheel fell off. Thank goodness it waited until I was home.

  6. Great Fill ins!! Oh Abbey my mom was raised with 'wolves' aka dogs. It is my dad who was the first cat person. Mom had never been around cats until she started dating my dad. Whew thank goodness John the cat was sweet. So my existence is all due to my DAD educating mom about the joy of CATS!!! Now Mom is a crazy cat lady!!
    Hugs madi your bfff

  8. Lizzie and I will join you!
The best money I ever spent was going to Europe (Lizzie says on it was for her favorite catnip mice) and the worst was for shoes I thought was right (but werent) (Lizzie says the worst was the catfood with beef and salmon.)

My most memorable vacation was with Rick in Paris and Amsterdam. (Lizzie says she doesn't get to go anywhere but the lake and that's OK with her.)

It was raining when I first met Lizzie. (She says "it was terrible riding in the car that day with a total stranger -- and it's not much better even though I know you now!)
Once, I had two cats at the same time. (Lizzie says "Once I was free to roam. And don't think about that two-cat thing again!)

  9. HOORAY for that sunny day in April!!!!
Great answers from both of you!
    Yours sincerely,
    Margaret Thatcher

  10. Well, you definitely love cats now. We loved your fill in answers.

  11. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins. I enjoyed your answers and Abbey's. I never had a cat until I got married, I thought I was a dog person,
but I am definitely a cat person now ( for 23 years). Make sure you add your link on McGuffy's Reader's page, the one on mine isn't working. Have a great weekend!

  12. This was a fun read! You are a HUGE cat lover now :)
