Friendly Fill-Ins Blog Hop: With Natasha

Happy Friday! We’re participating in the Friendly Fill-Ins Blog Hop, presented by 15 and Meowing and McGuffy’s Reader

1. I never thought I would miss __________________________, but I do.

2. Every 4th of July __________________________________.

3. If I knew ______________, I would __________________.

4. I have trouble ___________________________.

Natasha

1. I never thought I would miss living in Ohio, but I do miss some things, like the colder winters and the activities available in a college town. (Natasha: I don’t miss anything from my past before I found a home.)

2. Every 4th of July I like to listen to the hosts and reporters of NPR recite the Declaration of Independence. (Natasha: This is my first 4th of July with Mama and Papa, so I’ll find out what it’s all about!)

3. If I knew how much living with cats would change my life for the better, I would have adopted sooner. (Natasha: How could you not know, Mama?)

4. I have trouble watching TV and not doing anything else. I have no trouble sitting and reading. I don’t know what the difference is. (Natasha: I have trouble waiting for Mama to finish her work so we can play.)

Have a great weekend, human and fur friends!

  1. Are you on Good Reads yet with the reading? We should be friends if so.

  2. You have some very sweet answers! I really enjoyed these today. I love the photo, too. I love to sit and read, especially when I have a cat and dog with me. That is easy around here! Thanks to both of you for being part of Friendly Fill-Ins!

  4. I have to have my hands doing something, too, if we're watching a show. I usually knit or crochet. Maybe it has to do with not feeling productive if we're just watching television. If we're reading a book, we are being productive, so no conflict there. :)

Natasha, I agree with you on #3. I thought that everybody knew that kitties made everything better. David didn't know it at first, but now he does, too. :)

    Have a blessed weekend!

  6. So cute that Natasha answered too! I watch the Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4th...it's obscene but fascinating at the same time.

  9. Loved your answers! I, too, can rarely 'watch tv' without having a book in hand to read. Hope you have a wonderful Independence Weekend!

  10. It is hard to wait for playtime to come, isn't it? The difference between reading and watching TV, i think, is that you can concentrate on what you are hearing from the TV and don't have to actually watch the screen the whole time, freeing you up to do little chores that don't take higher brain power, like folding clothes. Reading requires your eyes be focused on the page/screen, so you can't very well be doing one of those other activities. That's what i figure, because i can also listen to the TV and just get on with other chores, but not do the same when reading, even though both are high brain function activities.

  11. Our mom is the same way as #4!!! She usually ends up on the floor with us, either brushing one of us (which we love) or reading something on her iPad!

  12. I love your fill-ins. And I know exactly what you're talking about with #4 - I don't think I've really, genuinely "watched" a TV show in years. I have to be doing something else when the TV is on, like blogging, playing with the furbabies, or working on a craft. At least now I know I'm not the only one!

  14. I don't know about with anyone else, but for me watching television is sort of like a mind vacation. When i was growing up, my mama would put on "The Tube" just for noise. She would watch her "stories" while she ironed and then call and talk to my aunt for several hours about what went on in a 30 minute show.

  15. Those are great fill in answers. Natasha, we hope this 4th of July isn't too noisy for you.
