A Special Gift

I received a special gift for Christmas from my dear friend, Carolyn.

Carolyn started thinking about the gift months ago, when I donated some grapevine wreaths to a Facebook auction she was having.

My father made many of the wreaths years ago—he’s been gone for 19 years—and I have a box full. I have decorated some, but I had many more than I would ever use.

Carolyn bought one of the wreaths and said she had an idea for how to use it.

At Christmas, I found out what her idea had been. Meet Wreath Kitty:

Carolyn was so creative in making this unique gift, one that I will treasure.

Wreath Kitty is hanging on my office door at work. I usually have the door open, so I see her there more than I would if she was hanging on a door at home.

What gifts do you treasure?

  3. My father has been gone for 13 years now, and I miss him! When we adopted Chuck and Angel, I made sure that they were in utero when my father was alive; my little way of connecting him to their lives. Love the wreath cat; your friend has talent!
